Intraver faced a significant challenge: to create a spacious greenhouse suitable for the conditions of the Mexican desert. Situated in the heart of the San Luis desert, the greenhouse had to withstand powerful winds and pervasive dust. The quality and uniform appearance of the fruits were also crucial for this producer, who exports to the United States.
Richel Group installed a 16-meter-wide chapel greenhouse, designed to capture maximum light, using high-quality transparent plastic films. Advanced climate control and precise irrigation tools were also implemented to meet its needs, including the Hoogendorn computer system. While the client had been using boilers since 2006, a more energy-efficient approach was suggested with the adoption of hot air heating, allowing them to reduce their gas consumption. Coupled with an excellent irrigation system and powerful solar radiation, the fruits thrive in optimal conditions, exhibiting all the qualities required for export.
One of the main advantages of this project is its location: it is situated just ten kilometers from Highway 57, the road that traverses Mexico to the United States border. This ensures that tomatoes arrive quickly and freshly ripened to the consumer.
With land ready to accommodate 60 hectares of greenhouse, this initial step opens the door to new perspectives, and above all, new greenhouse projects.
We extend our gratitude to Intraver for their trust, and we look forward to continuing to write this journey together.
