The project was a real challenge: a single-section greenhouse spanning 15 hectares with an optimum climate for conserving fragile crops, all with a very large surface area.

For this latest installation, the Richel Group stood out from the crowd by offering an agronomic solution that is perfectly suited to the crops. To satisfy requirements in terms of volume and thermal performance, this Richel plastic greenhouse has 8-metre high ridge openings on all the multi-span units and a height under gutter of 5.50 m.

The entire greenhouse is equipped with shading screens so that the baby lettuce can grow even during the hottest periods of the year, and without the need to whiten the films, providing protection against direct UV rays. To satisfy our customer’s specific need and guarantee maximum brightness, a special 8-layer film was installed.
