The solution

To supplement their existing 5 hectares of greenhouses, Mr and Mrs Silvestre opted for a 12.80 m XR300 multi-span greenhouse: with a height at the ridge of over 8 metres, excellent ventilation performance and excellent light transmission, this new generation of Richel plastic greenhouses offers ideal crop-growing conditions. In hot weather, the chimney effect is accelerated by the impressive height, increasing ventilation. In cold weather, the volume above the plants acts like a climate variation absorber and dehumidifies the air safely via ventilations at the ridge.

With 13 crop rows per multi-span unit, this configuration enables optimum occupation of the growing surface without compromising on the needs of plants or ease of harvesting.

Another advantage of the 12.80 m greenhouse is that the structure casts very little shadow. Combined with the 3 m arch spacing, it is one of the brightest models on the market and one of the sturdiest (80 kg snow load on the roof).
